Park St. Complex, Honesdale: The PA Coal Company's Gravity Railroad was built to transport coal from Port Griffith (now Pittston) to Paupack Eddy (now Hawley); it was in operation from 1850 thru 1885. Salvatore W. Mecca, from the Dunmore Historical Society, has spent years researching the history of the PCC Gravity Railroad, and has put together a very impressive presentation and a large display of artifacts he has accumulated over the years. A 2nd program (outdoor tour) will follow in the near future, date to be scheduled @ the program on the 24th. Reservations are required.
